An incredible honor

Joe Biden accepted an award from Planned Parenthood and called it an incredible honor. Katherine Hamilton’s Breitbart report is the source. The organization that handed him the glass ends pregnancies for a living.

Breitbart reports Biden attended Planned Parenthood of Delaware’s fundraising Chocolate and Champagne Gala on Thursday evening and received the Sonia Schorr Sloan Service Award presented by former first lady Jill Biden and named after an abortion activist and close friend of Biden. “This is an incredible honor,” Biden told the crowd adding he would not have become a U.S. senator or president “if it weren’t for Sonny Sloan.” In a largely garbled and rambling speech he slammed the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade and said Sloan was one of the first people he thought about when Dobbs was handed down and that “she would have felt devastated” with “anger and astonishment.” “Following the Dobbs decision, as president, I tried to do what I knew Sonny would have done,” he said. “We took action. We signed executive orders to protect access to reproductive health care, including emergency medical care.” Hamilton notes Planned Parenthood’s most recent report indicated 434,450 unborn babies were killed in abortions in 2023 and 2024 and that the organization secured $832 million in government grants contracts and Medicaid reimbursements. Biden closed by telling the raucous crowd “You have no idea how powerful women are in this country” and “You are about to find out.” A midterm is not a child in the womb. A gala is not Thou shalt not murder.

Being a Christian in America this week is refusing to confuse an incredible honor with mercy and refusing to confuse a Chocolate and Champagne Gala with the image of God. Keep the Commandment. Keep the unborn. And do not confuse a midterm with Joe Biden taking a bow from Planned Parenthood.
